No Curveball

About us

The numbers, without the homework. A passion project from a developer who loves baseball.

I built No Curveball because I wanted a place that shows how players change — not another box-score dump, fantasy ranking, or wagering sheet. Savant already measures pitches. FanGraphs already fills huge tables. This site is for finding the signal in that Statcast-era data and making the change readable.

It is a public research app. There are no user accounts. There is no betting desk. The work lives in charts, heatmaps, movement plots, and timelines so you can see behavior instead of scanning 180 columns.

The data window is the Statcast era, 2015 to present. Measurements come from public Statcast and the MLB Stats API. No Curveball is not affiliated with Major League Baseball. One project, one person.

Five questions

Fingerprint
What kind of player is this — arsenal, approach, and the shape of their game.
Evolution
How that player has changed across seasons, not just how they look today.
Detection
What is moving right now, with sample confidence instead of a last-30 guess.
Interaction
How a pitcher profile meets a hitter profile — alignment, not a pick.
Research
Which patterns hold across baseball when you put the league on one plot.

Read the privacy policy and terms of service if you want the fine print. Then go look at a pitcher.
